Lessons Learned from Myanmar’s Pease Process (Eng)

Titled as Lessons Learned from Myanmar’s Peace Process, the book discussed 140 lessons concerning the peace efforts during the tenure of the government of President U Thein Sein. The book was originally published in November 2016 in Myanmar language.
The English version of the book was introduced on August 23, 2018 to the peace process community of both international and local, on Wednesday at Novotel Yangon Max.
The author, U Aung Naing Oo, the executive director of the TSC at JMC said, “The most important message the book aims to give is that we have been making peace for seven years so far. So over these 7 years, I presumed we need to scrutinize what worked and what didn’t work about the process. I have pointed out in the book that we need to have holistic view over the peace process and to possess the accurate strategies that really work.”
The author stated that he presented the lessons and experiences that he acquired over his time at the Myanmar Peace Center (MPC) and peace negotiations between the period of November 2011 and March 2016.
